Happy gut health = happy life!
I’m reading a book on natural therapies to promote healthy digestion, boost your microbiome, and support gut repair

When was the last time you worried your highlighter might not last the whole book?
The reason for my interest? I’ve had a few blood tests confirming I’m sensitive to gluten (3 common types) and have leaky gut. Why “a few” blood tests? Because when you love Jupiter Donut Factory donuts and cookies and other items containing gluten, one blood test is not enough to make you believe you’re gluten sensitive.
At least not for me. I needed a few to confirm I should stop eating gluten because I’m stubborn… and love bakeries.
Gluten sensitivity and Leaky gut. The last one sounds gross but it means you have a damaged GI lining, and the walls of the intestines have become permeable, or “leaky,” which can lead to inflammatory responses and nutrient deficiencies, among other things. Herbs and lifestyle changes can correct or repair this so I’m not going to throw in the kitchen towel without a fight.
This book is part of my healing arsenal. Plus, I want to know how my body works!
Chapters I’m consuming:
Chapter 1: Why Digestion and Gut Health Matters
Chapter 6: Improving Microbiome Health
Chapter 7: Gut Repair

I’ll let you know what I discover. So far I’m really impressed with the readability, the format and the quick reference lists of herbs and their uses. IT’s a book you can go to for quick answers without sifting through all the information.
Let me know if you have made this journey and have some thoughts/insight.
Happy reading!
